This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
My 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier has a problem of stalling ( engine dies)at low speed when clutch is depressed. Other owners have had this problem as noted in complaint section of this website. When this happens you must keep engine revs high in order to keep this from happening over and over. This happened in June of 2003 and again Jan. 15 2004. Dealer and Chevrolet customer service say more or less, sorry about your bad luck. I am not happy about this and I am quite sure I am not the only one. This condition could get you killed.
When driving and press clutch to slow down RPM's drop below 300 and vehicle dies. Doesn't happen all the time took it to dealership when happening and couldn't get it in to check. Vehicle stopped doing it and has spells.
