This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
I own a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier from new and now have 23,000 miles on it. The problem I have is the decibel level of the turn signal is very hard to hear with the window open or the radio on and find myself forgeting to turn it off after using it to change lanes on the freeway. Because I can not heard the ticking sound. This only confuses other drivers around me. Should be recalled to have a flasher with a higher sound level installed. Please look into this.
