The contact owns a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier. The contact stated that when engaging the brakes, all the brake fluid leaked from the brake line. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the technician stated the brake lines were corroded and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 118,000 and the current mileage was 118,500. The VIN was unavailable.
1997 Chevrolet Cavalier brake lines were rusted. The rear brake lines and hoses have been replced three times due to rust. The consumer requested reombursement from the manufacturer.
Front brake pads/rotor wore out, causing vibration when brakes are applied. Also dealer replaced engine mounts/ignition switch. Brake line was found rubbing against axle shaft and was fixed. In addition, front end shakes/vibrates.
