Have a warranty that covers the seat. They said I was doing it on purpose. Have had it replaced 5 times and they won't say it can not be fixed, because salesman thought it could be fixed.
It was evening when we completed negotiations for the car & my trade-in. The seller HERTZ, arranged the broken seat so that it would not be noticed in the dark. I phoned the HERTZ dealership, the manager & representative who sold me the vehicle would neither return a call or take my calls. In time, it was clear they were not acting in good faith. I took the vehicle into a Chevy Dealership, they let me sit in the repair shop for 5 hours before they finally told me it would take several days to repair the problem.
I bought this vehicle in October 2013 as a certified used car. Shortly afterward the driver's side seat trim broke. It was replaced under manufacturer warranty. Same thing happened again. this time out of original bumper to bumper warranty, had to pay $75 to get it fixed. One month later it broke again. This is the 3rd time the little plastic clip has broken off. Haven't had it repaired again.
The clips that attach this item to the seat had broken.
I bought this car used in Nov. 2013, started having problems in Jan. When the seat trim broke I did not go back to dealer even though it was under warranty. For the little money it cost me, I did not want to disrupt a work day as I have no other car and no one to haul me around. A relative replaced the trim for me.
The dealer was great, covered under warranty, only had car back a week today and the darn thing broke again. Has to be a design error, or cheap plastic either way, I think it could be a hazard with the wiring hanging out like it does.
