In June 2018 air conditioning briefly went out. Opened fuse box. Rust was surrounding area. Moved fuse and air started working again. Car has 27,300 miles currently. On July 29th 2018 I was driving 60-65 on freeway in medium traffic and gas pedal left my foot and went to the floor. Stuck. I am beating it with my foot trying to get it to release. I went up to speeds of 120+. 3-3/12 miles it released before I had to do evasive measures. I have been driving Camaros trans ams and corvettes since 1975. Never had this happen. Upon inspection the under the drivers dash is full of rust. Not surface rust. Old heavy rust. I have a 97 Camaro in the driveway that has none of what this 2014 has. Did or does that throttle system have water damaged wiring" I have had radio replaced and drivers side seat motor replaced. Is this a flood vehicle? it's not on the history but does that mean anything anymore? I've been told by four mechanics it's undrivable, unsafe. What did happen to this car"

I was at a stop sign waiting for a break to enter the flow of traffic. Traffic was heavy and not moving for a second or more and a vehicle that had stopped motioned for me to enter the road in front of him, a right turn, and at that moment I applied pressure to the accelerator and realized with no notice that the Camaro engine was no longer running, and I waived the courteous driver on. When I looked closely at the ignition with the switchblade swinging on the key wring and realized what had happened I broke out in a cold sweat! the ignition has the equivalent of a hair trigger. If I had entered traffic with the power this vehicle delivers with the switchblade swinging to the right the Camaro would have cut off leaving me and anyone near me in possible danger.

"takata recall" I have a 2014 Chevy Camaro and when the car is being driven on the hwy, sitting still or on a city streets. The Chevy Camaro radio will turn it's self off. Sometimes their is a loud thump noise before the radio turns off and other times no thump. It will sometimes come back on after several minutes, or it might stay off. This is a very big problem, because I have read other posting concerning this problem with the 2014 Camaro. I have only had this car a week and this has happened at less 6 times. Not happy about purchasing this car now, if this is how it's going to be. I'm only 23 year old and I cant afford to have to take it to the shop.

Heater core is leaking on 2014 Camaro with 50K miles. Repair is extensive involving removing the windshield and the entire front part of the interior. $1700-$2000 is the estimated bill and the car will probably never be the same since the dash parts were not designed to ne removed.

The key will get stuck in the ignition daily and I have to restart engine and shift into reverse and then shift back into park for the key to be removed. This process has to be completed several times before the key can be removed from the ignition. And one more issue my steering wheel makes a weird whiny noise as I turn it. It sounds like whale songs. Took it to dealer ship but they didn't fixed my issue.

For the past year I have trouble taking the key out of the ignition when I park. I have to put the car on neutral or drive then back on park several times to get the key to come out. The body developed some dents on both sides which look like if I was in a hail storm, paid a few thousand to get the body repaired and the dents returned. Have that problem since I purchased the auto in 2014

I own a Chevrolet, Camaro 2014. This car has a defect with the steering key ignition. The key will not release from the steering column. This is a defect as a simple google search will show how prevalent this issue as there are forums and youtube videos with consumers complaining about this issue with this car. Even when I was at the dealer there was another patron there with this car, complaint and diagnosis. This is not a normal wear and tear issue it is a material defect by the manufacturer that should be recalled as it is so common. Please assist. This may not seem like the same concern as an airbag but it is an issue as it allows the consumer to be vulnerable trying to get their key it of the ignition and in most cases failing to be able to do so and needing to either leave the vehicle, have it towed and possibly depending on where this happens being vulnerable. I was parked at a gas station at night, anything could have happened while I was fidgeting with this key and unable to get it to release.

The key to my vehicle would not release. This issue is plastered all over the internet as a continuous issue with this car.in fact, even when I was at the dealer there was another female customer with the exact same issue and whose car was diagnosed as needing a shifter. This issue needs to be recalled. While it may not seem the same as an airbag, women and also men can be placed in danger at night pulling up to gas stations, grocery stores, atom machines la their own driveways an unable to get their car out can leave them vulnerable to predators.it is unbelievable that such a consistent complaint with this car has not been addressed by the manufacturer. The frequency alone dictates this is a design flaw that should be corrected before someone is robbed, raped or worse by being distracted with this key, unable to release the key and move to safety at night

My convertible top on my 2014 Chevy Camaro leaked water in the rear passenger side. GM said the passenger side door panel splash guard glue came off and the passenger side grommet was installed incorrectly. The service assistant said this "happens all the time with the Camaro convertibles". I would like the NHTSA to consider a recall for these issues and would like to request the number of reported similar problems that the NHTSA has received with regards to the same body style of Chevy Camaro convertibles. Also GM refused to inspect for mold and never cleaned or replaced the carpet following the nonconforming condition. I believe this present a substantial danger to my family's safety and anyone else who rides in the vehicle. I live in Alabama where mold grows profusely, which only serves to amplify the danger.

My car was part of the ignition switch recall in 2014. For the past week, whenever I park the car I can not get the key out of the ignition. The dealership explained that the problem is being caused by the shifter not communicating to the car that it's in "park" so it won't release the key. They also told me that since my car has 55,000 miles, the repair will not be covered under warranty because it's electrical and considered part of the "trim". they informed me that the repair would be in excess of $600. I am extremely unhappy because I can't afford this repair and this is my only mode of transportation. The car is pretty much un-drivable at this point unless I want to get stuck somewhere.

Car ignition keeps hanging up and will not release key upon shut off. Traveling between states, a burning smell began to come through the vents, the car shut off without warning traveling 70 mph on the highway, remaining lit and appearing fully functioning. It struck me as very familiar to the ignition issue I have had for the way the car shut off and began to act. Upon stop and actually switching off, car would try to crank, but did not catch. After towing to dealership, car cranked and drove as usual. Check engine light indicated low fuel pressure, after diagnostics for the third time the dealership is still insisting nothing is wrong with this car. Key ring has a total of 3 keys and lightweight, definitely not weighing down the ignition. This is definitely computer related, electrical and affecting the mechanical ability of the car as well as the safety of the driver. I see numerous complaints about this issue online, no recalls have been found and Chevrolet is not correcting this despite numerous car fires reported and accidents probably caused.

While driving I smelled smoke. After looking around I saw my back seat full of smoke. I pulled over immediately and was able to safety get out of the vehicle. The trunk popped open with flames coming out. I have a convertible and the top instantly ignited. The firemen where able to put out the fire but the fire spread through out the car.

Heater core failed and has a leak. It is my wife's car. She was parked and it was a cold night in sf bay area. She got in, started the car and turned on the front windshield defroster. Immediately she could smell the odor and the windshield fogged over. She could see mist rising from the vents.

The steering wheel has manual drive shift levers on both sides. When making a right turn sometimes the lever gets caught on keys causing the steering wheel to make a hard right turn resulting in momentary loss of steering control. I have almost driven into ditches or other objects due to this defect. Also, the shifter is not engaging properly causing the key to be get stuck in the ignition when the engine is off. In order to get the key to release I have to restart the engine, reverse and put the shifter back in the park position. Then I must engage the floor brake and release it until a clicking noise is heard inside the shifter. The key will then release. This problem has already been reported in other models of GM vehicles and part of a recall however my model has not been recalled. The dealer and manufacturer are not taking responsibility.

Driving around exit 110 heading East on I-94, me and my wife were nearly run down by a crosset truck driver by the front of his truck. Based on the fact that the trailer was still in the right lane and the front of the truck rapidly swerned into the left lane, I would consider the idea that he dozed off. My wife swerved over and nearly hit the rails on the side of the highway to avoid a tragedy. And once we calmed down, we slowed way back and pulled over to let the trucker catch up to us. When he did I took pictures from my passenger seat so that we could identify the truck. When we reached the front of the vehicle at the drivers door with all of the necessary numbers, the driver stopped looking at the road and turned to take a picture of us. I am unsure why, but that is clearly illegal to use your phone or to fall asleep behind the wheel. I called the company and was told he is a professional so there was no reason to pull him off the road. Usdot # 551244, but I have pictures of the truck number and all additional identification numbers.
