car bogged down and bucking - happend twice since purchase Months after I bought it, the car would do this slightly, while in 5th gear at precisely around 68-72 MPH..... in 5th from 55-67 and 73+ , the car had great power... but always seemed to cut out and kind of buck.
Halloween night, I had two light passengers in the car. Was noticing it wasn't very responsive. Car seemed to be lacking power. On the way to pick up more friends car kept bogging down and then picking back up.... tried running it in 3000+ rpm range still no power. we turned onto a road with a very steep hill.... car almost died and .... complete loss of power and bucking (TANK WAS 3/4 FULL). started down shifting and still no resolve.
Made it up the hill luckingly and drove about another mile, still bucking and losing power... turned car off. turned back on. seemed fine.
drove it easy around the culdisac. drove it hard around the culdisac. Everything seemed near normal. parked it for about an hour. we all followed each other to a party and sure enough the problem started up again EVEN GOING DOWN HILL.
thought perhaps it was bad gas.. however...... I've never owned a car that has had an issue like that 2-3 times. especially being brand new
