- Summary
- This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician to diagnose a concern of the blower motor speed display frozen on the radio display. The actual blower speed will change with the blower speed knob however the number on the radio display will not change. The technician is to monitor the electronic Climate Control module data display using Global Diagnostic System 2 the requested fan speed will change in the scan tool correctly as the fan speed knob is rotates. This concern will not affect any other function of the Electronic Climate Control Module modes. If any of the functions besides the blower speed freezing on the screen are found don not proceed with this preliminary information. If the blower speed is found to freeze on the radio display but the actual blower speed is working call General Motors Technical Assistance Center to request software fix for this issue.
