This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that may have an oil-canning or popping noise coming from the rear seat foot well area while driving. Technician will need to dimple the sheet metal in front of the rear seat lower cushion. After the dimple is created apply butyl patch on the panel, being sure to also cover the dimpled surface with the patch.
