Warm air blowing from AC. First they said it was a tube that cost $377.40. Now they are saying its a actuator part and that they will have to remove the dash and windshield to get to it to fix. Labor will take over 12 hours. Actuator part cost is $1,052. Total with parts and labor is $1752 before tax. I'm not convinced the initial tube for $377.40 was necessary...and highly aggravated the actuator door (which is made of plastic) is $1,052 before labor. I do not have an extended warranty. I bought the car used with 19K miles on it in 2012. It has 150K miles (almost all highway). Only one other major problem with car - needed a new catalytic converter. I paid about $1000 for that job. So far only these two issues but both are costly repair jobs.

Exactly the same as my other Camaro.

My wife's 2012 Camaro Air Conditioner, which she bought new, would not cool the car. The temperature blend door was broken and had to be replaced. The car was 5 1/2 years old with only 31,000 miles. The repair cost $100 for the extended warranty deductible. Thankfully she bought the extended warranty. The dash and windshield had to be removed.

The part is called a Valve by GM and the part number is 92215212. It is plastic and on one end it has an attachment that connects with the control actuator. The part that broke is all plastic and is molded as one piece. This has now occurred in two different Camaros within months of each other. This is not a mileage issue. Her car is not driven much and is kept in the garage. This is a defective part design issue.

GM should reimburse for the repair costs. I am not sure of the process. I would appreciate any suggestions.
