- THIS PRELIMINARY INFORMATION COMMUNICATION PROVIDES INFORMATION TO THE TECHNICIAN ABOUT VEHICLES THAT HAVE A REPEAT POOR PERFORMANCE OF THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM. TECHNICIAN WILL NEED TO ENSURE THE HEATER-VENT-AIR CONDITIONING ELECTRONIC CLIMATE CONTROL HAS THE LATEST CALIBRATIONS. IF DIAGNOSIS LEADS TO REPLACEMENT OF THE AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR FOR POOR PERFORMANCE, AN OVERHEATING CONCERN OR BROKEN SHAFT, AND YOU FIND THAT THE REPAIR HISTORY IN GENERAL MOTORS VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER INDICATES THE COMPRESSOR HAS BEEN REPLACED IN THE PAST FOR SIMILAR REASONS THEN THE AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR AND THE RECEIVER/DEHYDRATOR AND THE CONDENSER AND EVAPORATOR WILL NEED TO BE FLUSHED OUT. IF THE VEHICLE IS A 2011 MODEL YEAR VEHICLE ENSURE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM 11160 HAS BEEN COMPLETED.
