The contact owned a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro. While driving 40 mph, the vehicle completely stalled without warning. The contact also mentioned that the vehicle failed to respond when the brake pedal was depressed and the steering wheel seized. As a result, the contact crashed into a pole. The air bags deployed. The contact sustained a left arm injury that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to culberson autos (805 N hobart St, pampa, tx 79065, (806) 665-1665). The contact was informed that the vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 14V346000 (electrical system). The dealer diagnosed that the ignition key switch was the cause of the failure. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. - (recall related incident)

I was going for a drive in my neighborhood. I was driving down a hill when the accelerator stuck. At the bottom of the hill was a bump in the road. After hitting the bump the engine turned off. I had no brakes and no steering. I then skid off the road into a tree. There was one injury, a lady in the back seat passenger side hit her head on the back of the front seat passenger. She had a huge goose egg on top of her head and a black eye.

On October 8th the vehicle was parked while running ( South Texas heat I wanted to cool the car off ). the vehicle is equipped with the 6spd manual transmission therefore the vehicle was in neutral, the hand brake was engaged. As I walked away from the vehicle which was parked in my driveway I heard a loud popping noise. It was loud enough to cause alarm, when I looked back at my vehicle it was rolling out of my driveway & into the street. I was able to jump in & apply the brake before it caused any damage. I immediately called my local dealership to have the vehicle inspected & repaired, I explained to the lady who assisted me what the issue was, she wanted me to take the vehicle in on 4 days after the incident. I found this to be unacceptable. Since this was a huge safety issue I was not willing to wait that long to have it repaired. I took it in on the 9th & was told on the 10th that the cable to my hand/parking brake had indeed failed & busted. I was also told that this would not be covered by GM. I asked how this could have happened on a 4yr old car that is usually parked on flat surfaces & in gear with the handbrake engaged as the owners manual suggest. I was not given an answer, I have reported the incident to GM's & am waiting for a response. My vehicle was repaired under my extended warranty.

I have had my car for 1 year. When I get to 55mph the steering wheel shake so bad, it's unbearable. This have been going on since I bought the car. I took it back to the dealership and they said it was the alignment. They aligned for me. Well it ran pretty good for a couple of days and then it started back shaking. I also have a problem with the rotors or brakes or something to that nature. It sounds like a 18 wheeler when I stop. The rotors or something make some kind of wobbling noise when I drive. I turn the radio down quite often so I can hear if anything is coming off from the brakes. I'm not paranoid, because passengers in the car ask me all the time, "what's that noise". for me to have a decent car like the Camaro, I don't understand. Can you please run a thorough check on the tires, rotors, brakes on these cars. Also check the trunk too, because sometime my trunk won't open with the key nor by pushing the button on the inside of the car. I am concerned because I purchased a car over $30K and I'm not getting any enjoyment out of it. I'm scared to drive too far because the rotors or something may come off. Help please.

I reached out to [xxx], GM CEO on May 24, 2013 with a strong concerns of power failure for the 2nd time while driving the vehicle; causing me not to have control while the vehicle was driven. Thus it was also noted that I originally reached out to GM to request a replaced vehicle while my vehicle was under warranty due to the vehicle losing power on a major freeway; which was life threatening; however the response back from GM was a declined letter that I received ensuring me that the vehicle was safe to drive. I travel major freeways as part of career so having a reliable vehicle is imperative as for I value my life. [xxx], senior vice president of global quality & customer experience is not honoring the warranty too. After assisting me with my car for 5 months.please not my 2010 Camaro ss is park as for it's not safe to drive. ( GM offer me a contract to sign that would guarantee "no fault to GM ". I couldn't not due them should my Camaro harm myself or others while driving it. I was told that GM knows there is a problem with the Camaro but can't find the problem. It's has been noted that the corrections that I need to have made in order to be safe in the GM vehicle cannot be obtained as for my vehicle has been keep Chevy for shop 5 months. I just recently pick up my vehicle on September 6 and now I'm returning the vehicle again on September 9th. 1. acceleration pedal getting struck 2. electrical failure( while driving the vehicle ) losing power 3. seat belt 4. getting stuck in gears I hope you can squeeze me in to take my case [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

I purchase the car in 2/2010 & in 5/2010 the brakes started making noise & were loose to the point I had to pump them. I contacted GM took my car to bennett Chevrolet who said nothing was wrong & that's the way they sound, so I took the car to garber the guy drove my car at first said he didn't hear anything, because the noise was obvious, he then said it was coming from another car. In 12/10 the breaks went to the floor, only after telling Chevrolet that they will be held responsible. I took the car back to bennett they had to order the master cylinder I got my car back 1/2011. In 7/2013 the same noise again I don't drive the car much so I'm thinking a brake pad even after I notice the exterior around the air conditioner, shifting gears and where the brake fluid goes in looked melt. On 8/2013 I took the car to bennett to be told again nothing is wrong and told the same lie that's the way they sound.9/2013 went to garber at first they said my brake pads are like new, I told them about the brake problem I had & it's the master cylinder again they repaired it, but I don't know the noise is still there and if history repeats its self the brakes will go to the floor again.

My 2010 Chevy Camaro 2lt in 37,000 miles the front right brake caliper got stuck and ate up my rotor and pad. In 40,000 miles it broke a valve spring. Ever since they say they fixed it, it still runs like crap loss of power, and still misses but dealer says its fine and from day one everytime I go over a bump at any speed it sounds like glass is shattering and it comes from the front suspension. Its sad that my 1995 Chevy pickup with over 300,000 miles with all stock parts still runs better than my Camaro.
