Hand brake is loose and my searches on how to fix reveal videos where this is a bit of a complex effort. Therefore not a cheap fix.

I can park by putting the car in gear and putting up the handbrake but without in gear the car will roll on even the slightest slope. I guess I need to park it in gear anyway but it is very annoying to feel that the brake is loose. I think I should be able to fix this myself rather than pay the shop another couple hundred bucks!
