A local mechanic performed a diagnostic test and informed her that the security system needed to be reset. The dealer and the manufacturer have not been notified. The vehicle has not been repaired. Electrical short, while applying brakes vehicle lost power, lights and wipers went out, vehicle slid out of control and slid/crashed off road, no damage to vehicle.
