The contact owns a 1999 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated the clutch failed to disengage. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 43,000 and the current mileage was 44,000.
Tachometer is reporting incorrectly. As a result, engine is overspeeding with potential repair problems. Two different dealers have tried to repair with no success. Because of the defective tachometer, the engine understates actual RPM in each gear. I have overspeeded the engine numerous times and am concerned about potential damage because of this.
