When car is being driven in wet conditions and the brakes are applied, the car shakes violently, to the point of loosing control of the car. The dealer says it is the anti-lock brakes and this is normal.
Brake rotors warped as a result of factory flaw, separated 3 times before 20,000 miles, but pa Chevrolet refused to replace and only turned rotors on 2 separate occasions, causing a brake failure leading to accident.( dot number: Tire size: P23555R16 )
Front brake rotors are warping prematurely, need resurfacing for the second time. Dealer contacted and states normal wear and tear on the brakes. Provide further information.

Have had chronic problems with this car. Most recent being the failure of the ABS braking system. The dealership says that the ABS computer module and or sensors have failed. It seems that this is a constant problem with Camaros. I feel as though this needs to be a covered repair. The car is practically new and they want $800 to fix it.
Car has been in repair 5 times for the brakes. 2 times for a caliper bolt that fell out, and the wheel locked. Both times I could have been killed in an accident if my wheel would have locked up on the interstate. They never do anything at the dealership but turn/clean roters which become faulty again. I'm looking into sueing Chevrolet if they don't fix this defect. It is way too dangerous for something of this nature to keep occuring over and over again. Next time I might not be so lucky.
When the brakes are applied there is a severe squeak, and the pedal will depress all the way to the floor. The system takes extra seconds to kick in and stop as it should. Dealer has been contacted, they replaced the rotors five times and the pads seven times.
Consumer contunues to experience ABS system failures, to date consumer has had pads and rotors replaced/rotors resurfaced on several occasions due to defect. Nlm
The right rear tire blew out, it is in two completely different peices, on a major highway. I could have easily lost control of the vehicle and been in a major accident. I have also had to have the tires plugged twice already since I purchased the vehicle. The brakes have been squeaking for almost three months and when reported to dealer they did nothing to fix it. They have also caused skidding when roads are wet and do not feel as if they are properly locking.( dot number: Tire size: P235/55R16 )
Brakes repaired 10/98 @14000 mi. Brakes replaced 12/98 @ 20,700 mi. Brakes repaired 5/99 @ 25,035 mi. Also - starter motor @ 7700 mi., water pump @ 20,00 mi., and now the A/C compressor and blowerr motor are on order because the A/C is not cold. What's next?
Front brake rotors are warped, and have been since the car was new. Dealer "cleans" them each time I bring in the car. Many people have reported this problem. There should be a recall for these defective rotors.
Rotors on front of vehicle warped to the point that control of vehicle difficult. GM authorized resurfacing only and defective rotors were left on car. At 16,000 rotors warped again to the point that I felt vehicle was unsafe. GM replaced rotors with oem rotors and at 20,000 the rotors have again warped to the point of being annoying. Seems to be a problem with the material composing the rotors, and not from driving style.
Rotors warped at 6K miles; dealer refinished same. Repair lasted roughly 6K miles before problem returned. At highway speeds (60mph +) if brakes are applied front wheels shake severely, causing loss of control. In a panic situation, I don't think the car would be controllable. Dealer solution is to resurface rotors a second time and replace if problem returns. This appears to be a widespread problem with Camaros, and I fail to see how replacing rotors with the same part will solve the problem. This is a high performance vehicle capable of 150mph + speeds, and should have a braking system to match.
Vehicle was involved in an accident at approximately 40-45 mph. Upon impact, air bags did not deploy, and ABS brakes failed to stop vehicle. Dealer notifed, and vehicle is being inspected and repaired that this time.
While driving 60 mph and changing lanes brakes were applied suddenly while turning the wheel to avoid a collision, the ABS locked up, causing the vehicle to spin, resulting in a rollover.
