This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
The air pump became defective, causing a hole on hoses which melted fuel line, resulting in fire hazard. Fuel tub retaining clip, which holds fuel line broke, causing fuel line to fall on top of exhaust manifold, resulting in a fire hazard.
The clip that hold the fuel line under the engine I don't belive is strong enough to complete its task. I have heard many incidents in where owner of the 94- present Camaros have had fires under the hood of there car because this plastic clip breaks and the fuel line then comes incontact with the valve covers which burns a hole in the fuel line and caused a fire under the hood. I belive this a safety hazard and should be fixed. Thanks
