This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Drive shaft was covered under the warranty and dealership said it was the first one they ever had to do also had a bad smell like sulpher or rotten eggs they said that problem stemmed from the drive shaft also but we still smell this terrible odor while car is running
Water pump is located above the distributor. When the seals on the water pump fail, water leaks into the distributor. This causes the engine cooling system not to perform as it should (causes engine mis- fire and over heating). I have had the distributor and water pump replaced at 52,000 miles and at 64,000 miles. Now at 84,000 miles I am experiencing the same problem. Also experienceing recurrent problems with the hydrolic system (brakes).
