BACK AGAIN FIXING TRANY FOR THE THIRD TIME. REALLY PISSED!! DIDN'T COST TO FIX THE PROBLEM,EXCEPT FOR MY TIME AND LOSS OF USE FOR A WEEK, BUT DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO CAUSE THE FAILURE. PULLED A LIGHT CAR TRAILER WITH 800 LB. LOAD. USED THIRD GEAR(NOT OVERDRIVE) TO PULL 14 MILES. WHAT HAPPENED TO CHEVY TOUGH. WHAT IDIOT WOULD DESIGN A TRANY WITHOUT BANDS YOU CAN TIGHTEN? GUESS I NEED A RAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GOT STUCK IN A SNOW DRIFT. TRIED TO GET OUT. STOPPED EACH TIME BEFORE CHANGING FROM REVERSE TO FORWARD. WAS VERY CAREFUL BECAUSE THIS PROBLEM HAD HAPPENED SEVERAL YEARS BEFORE AND I STRIPPED THE TRANY, PROBABLY MY FAULT FOR ROCKING. THIS TIME I WAS CAREFUL,BUT SEVERAL DAYS LATER NO THIRD GEAR. THERE ARE NO BANDS TO TIGHTEN, SO I PAID $1391.00 TO HAVE IT FIXED. I AM SMART ENOUGH TO KNOW THIS IS A MANUFACTURE FLAW. NOT DONE YET. SEE MY NEXT TRANY COMPLAINT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hate this truck! It has had nothing but problems!!!
Such as.... Transmission failed twice
The brake system has gone out twice, 6 months from when it was originally fixed...
I no longer have intermittent wipers, the defrost does not work well on the front windshield, the passenger door is difficult to open, the center flip down storage bin doesn't like to flip down, the CD player stopped working altogether, the little back sliding rear window is cheaply made... The vehicle is falling a part and Chevy does NOT stand behind their vehicles!
