The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact stated that while refueling the vehicle, the contact removed the pump handle from the filler neck, and one of the fuel flappers detached. The contact was concerned about fuel leaking from the fuel tank. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the filler neck and fuel filler housing needed to be replaced; however, the fuel filler housing was on backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 29,800.
