The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the passenger's side front tire slowly started losing air. The contact related the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 21V115000 (tires). The contact stated that the low tire pressure warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and the contact was informed that the passenger's side front tire needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The contact was informed that there would be no reimbursement since the vehicle was not repaired at an authorized dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000.
