This Preliminary information communicates that a vehicle may be brought to the dealer with a complaint that the driver's side power seat will not move at times. The dealer technician may find a code B3920. The technician is instructed to inspect the seat harness beneath the driver's seat for being pinched between the memory seat module bracket and the seat frame tube. If damage is found to the harness the technician is instructed to repair or replace the harness as needed and reroute it to avoid future damage to the harness. If the harness is found to be routed correctly the technician is instructed to inspect X500 for being not fully seated and allowing water intrusion into the connector. Technician is instructed to replace terminals as necessary if water damage is found in X500.
