Received repeated message on display " steering assist reduced, drive with care" Engine races at times and Auto Stop quicks working. Could lead to a crash if steering is restricted due to P0128 code was repeatedly triggered as a fault code. Turned out to be thermostat which is being replaced on thousands of these vehicles. You can search for the message. GM is replacing under powertrain warranty however many vehicles are beyond warranty. This is approximately a $1000 repair.
I cannot shut off my vehicle. When I turn off engine warning message and alert binging tells me to shift to park. The vehicle is in park but vehicle does not register that it-??s in park. I-??m stuck in vehicle which will not stop alerts and runs down battery. This is a hazardous situation. I can-??t tell if car is actually engaged in park or not. This started happening intermittently over the last month but now it happens 8 times out of 10 when I try to shut off the vehicle.
The starter and flex plate failed (cracked) on the vehicle while on the road due to the auto start stop feature. When I stopped for a red light, the car made a loud grinding noise and would not restart leaving me stranded in traffic. The 2019 Blazer has the auto start stop feature which cannot be disabled and likely results in excess wear and tear. GM updated the 2020 model to allow the function to be disabled. GM has a number of technical bulletins highlighting both starter and flex plate issues, the first being in 2020. Both the starter and flex plate failures were verified by Reeder Chevrolet in Knoxville TN. I've asked for the flex plate to be provided when repair is complete. There were no warnings via check engine lights or any strange noises prior to the failure.

The vehicle can overheat, causing vehicle break down on the road Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Vehicle was inspected by Chevrolet Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear" No warning lights, coolant was pooling on driveway The vehicle was inspected and repaired by Chevrolet, radiator and coolant were replaced.
My vehicle was diagnosed with a faulty thermostat, specifically that the thermostat was sticking and needs replaced. My vehicle is at approximately 59,150 miles as of 12/27/2023. Prior to the diagnosis of the faulty thermostat, I intermittently received a warning message "Steering assist reduced - drive with caution", the thermostatic fan would run at full speed, and the P0128 check engine code was illuminated. These symptoms began approximately at the beginning of December 2023. The problem was confirmed by a certified GM dealership service department.

I looked online and a lot of Chevy products are having this issue. Something will pop up saying limited driving assistance then your cold hot gauge doesn-??t work is get stuck your air conditioning quits working your oil gauge quit working your battery how much voltage you have quits working it falls your whole window up where you can-??t see. This is an ongoing issue with most of GMC vehicles, especially blazers. This is a safety issue that could cause your car to blow up or your windows. The fog over where you can-??t see and you have a wreck and I could kill you.
Shift To Park message displays while vehicle is already in Park! Incident began increasing in frequency in late 2022. Vehicle would not Shut Off! Bulletin on problem came out in 2019, Chevy did not inform me of this Safety issue, Grandchildren in vehicle at least 2 times. Chevy charged me for the fix, Chevy was aware of problem before warranty expired !
Eco stop/ start died three times since I bought car. I am unable to turn off this option and the accident feature starts to break when I-??m not near another car. Any Electrical issues cause the car not to start.
When placing the vehicle in park and turning off the vehicle there is a message on the dashboard saying -??shift to park-?? and the vehicle will not shut off, and you cannot lock the vehicle due to the error message.
While driving, veh showed message, engine power being reduced, service parking brake. Then it died and would not restart. Parking brake was not engaged. Vehicle was in drive and moving apps 30 mph. I was driving straight. Now the check engine light stays on. Vehicle had reduced power and feels like I'm driving with brake engaged. When the vehicle dies the brake service light illuminated and then turned off after apps 6 minutes.
While driving the Blazer the vehicle lost power. It was missing and didn't want to go. The warning lights came on. I had to call the tow truck to come pick it up. I had it delivered to the shop where I bought it. That was on Sunday, October 6, 2019. On Monday, October 7, 2019 I was called and the conclusion was made that I had a dead injector. They replaced injector #5. picked it up on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. Drove it home and on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 on the way to work, I ended up on the side of the road again. The car did the exact same thing as on Sunday. The car went down to 20 mph. I was able to limp it to a parking lot. I called a tow truck again and took it back to the shop. I am still waiting on the diagnosis as of Friday, October 11, 2019.
