A few weeks ago driving home from work in a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer, and coming around corner the door hook and caused the door to open. Took vehicle to dealer, and they said to take it back to the dealer (sun Chevrolet), and they said it wasn't their fault because she didn't lubricate the door once a month. Contacts husband welded the door hook back on, but now the door will not completely shut, causing the lights to stay on and the battery to run down. The automobile manual did not state for contact to lubricate doors once a month. The passenger side door is now doing the same thing. The back gate will not open either.
Rear driver's side door. Could not close. Vehicle was taken to a dealership, and floor manager indicated one of the hinges broke, and would cost $175 at consumer's expense.
