The contact owned a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer. While driving approximately 35 mph, another vehicle crashed into the passenger side of the contact's vehicle. As a result, the vehicle rolled four times and the air bags did not deploy. The contact and the passenger sustained injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 250,000. Updated 8/10/15 the consumer stated the front of the vehicle was damaged. 1999 Chevy Blazer airbags failed to deploy in an accident. Consumer states that the airbags did not deploy. Consumer was injured and vehicle was totaled. Consumer might not have those injuries if the airbags worked properly.
The Chevy Blazer had multiple defects. The air bag did not deploy upon impact. The vehicle had air and water leaks around the windows, oil was being consumed abnormally, the seat belt had come loose and the brakes did not work properly. The consumer was informed that the vehicle had been wrecked. The consumer had three accidents in which all were frontal impacts.

While driving 35 mph, another vehicle hit consumer's vehicle on the passenger side. This caused the vehicle to spin around and slam into another vehicle head on. Upon impact, both frontal air bags did not deploy, nor did the driver's seat belt lock. Consumer had the vehicle towed to the dealership for inspection.
The truck went into a skid on wet road after attempting a rear end collision that occured in front of them. The truck did avoid colliding with them but spun around hitting concrete wall. Neither air bags deployed up impact with estimated speed of 65 mph.
Airbag light keeps flashing on and off. Consumer has been to dealer for rewiring connections to airbag 6 times, and the problem reoccurred about 3 weeks ago.
While starting noticed air bag indication light on throughout travel. Dealer has been notified; repaired once, but problem returned. The air bag was replaced due to electrical problems and consume paid for the cost of replacing it.
