While driving steering was not working rightly. At same had received a recall notice. Then, took vehicle to dealer for upper balls joint. But, mechanic said that lower balls joints had to be replaced. Warranty had expired seven days befor, E and had to be repaired at owner's espence.
Vehicle was taken in for recall on the upper ball joints, consumer was also informed that the lower ball joints needed to be replaced, however they were not included in the recall.
While driving 20 mph there was a loud knocking on front right tire, took vehicle to mechanic, consumer was then informed that there was a recall on 1997, Chevrolet, Blazer concerning upper and lower ball joints, it was not safe to drive vehicle. Manufacturer stated this vehicle was not included in recall due to VIN.
Both front lower ball joints were defective. Dealer was notified, and informed consumer that it was not covered under a manufacturer's recall. Feel free to provide any further information concerning this matter.

Pittman arm/ idler arm, and upper and lower ball joints have corroded. A recall has been issued on vehicles make and model, ; however, this vehicle was not included due to VIN. The dealer has repaired vehicle at the owner's expense.
While exiting interstate at 65 mph, consumer was making a right hand turn, and without warning front passenger's side wheel caved due to lower ball joint snapping. Wheel caved in at about a 45 degree angle. Vehicle was not driveable, and had to be towed. Consumer vehicle would have rolled over if consumer droveat a higher speed.
Both upper ball joints and idle arm failed at low mileages of 33,000. Dealer notified, and informed that vehicle was out of its warranty. The consumer restated the problem saying the lower ball joints and idle arem failed rather than the upper ball joints.
