So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
The vacuum and egr valve caused the problem with brake failure. Brakes felt like pushing on a brick when going downhill. Was making squealing noises. Had no brakes. Vehicle went over an embankment & flipped. Upon impact, air bags failed to deploy. Dealer informed owner of intermittent problems with brakes. Driver has back problem due to accident.
Brake vacuum booster failed unexpectedly at 26000 miles resulting in dangerous loss of pedal pressure.. the part was replaced at midas with a genuine Chevrolet replacement part. I still have the defective brake booster in a box in my garage. Would you be interested in examining this part? I would be willing to ship it to you. Given the number of brake failures and problems with Chevy Blazer, this should be worth looking into before a brake booster failure kills or injures someone. When this part failed, it was extremely hard to stop the vehicle.
