Rear windshield wiper motor makes a loud grinding noise and arm does not move. Vehicle has recall on front wiper motor. Repairwork done for rear motor without consumer's okay. Paid $100 for repairwork at owner's expense. Recall 98V-150000.
Windshield wipers failed prior to recall notice requiring replacement of the wiper motor, however recall reimbursement denied due to recall component being the module not motor unit.
Mfr C98043-S. windshield wiper motor works intermittently. Contacted dealer, and VIN did not comply to recall. Problem still exists. Provide further information.
The windshield wiper motor has a short and the wipers will not turn at all. Consumer was able to start wipers by pulling to sie of road, raising hood and manipulating wires. In inclement weather, it would be hazardous to drive vehicle.
Consumer has been experiencing problem with windshield wipers not coming on when neeeded or stop running after being turned on. Dealer notified and will not repair unless cost is to the consumer.
While driving down highway, started to our down rain windshield wipers stopped. Consumer pulled over, could hear the motor. Tried to move the wipers with hand and they started working for only a couple of minutes. No warranty on vehicle. Dealer cannot duplicate the problem. When raining the wipers do not work consistantly.
