On 8/31/99 I tried to put on my windshield wipers in a heavy rain storm and they did not work. I waited for a while and they finally started. I brought the car to my mechanic after an inspection they said it was the windshield wiper motor. They pull up a recall from Chevy dated 9/98 for this same problem. I contact steve moore who look up my VIN number and said that even though this was the exact thing as the recall called for, my vehicle was not in that VIN batch. I find this hard to believe the exact same thing and they would do nothing about this. I have sent them a letter requesting a refund of the amount of repair and have had no response. What would have happen if I was with my 2 children it a heavy storm and these wipers just quit. I feel this is a real unjustice to anyone in my position. All I want is for them to pay for this repair. The recall number is 96043 - windshield wiper motor failures. Please contact me with any information. Thank you

The windshied wipers fails to work properly. When in use, would be sometimey. Causes driver to have poor visibility. The ABS brakes would lock up when applied. Would feel like they're sticking. Causes extended stopping distance. Vehicle is also leaking fuel from rear end pump shaft. The engine would roar & feels like its racing. Will be taking vehicle to dealer to have all problems dealt with.
