Vehicle oil line exploded. While driving down the highway, the engine light came on. The consumer lifted the hood and viewed oil everywhere. The service dealer stated that the oil line exploded. The oil line from the oil filter mounted off the engine in the front of the vehicle.
The oil cooler line (4.3W) on my Chevy S10 Blazer came out of the crimp and caused considerable damage to my engine. The dealer who sold and does work on this vehicle says it is not their fault and the repair price tag is quite a large sum! I would like to know why and how can Chevy let a "defect" of this magnitude go unnoticed! I do not feel it is my responsibility to pay for this repair!
Oil line to oil filter has failed and been replaced on three occasions in less then one year. Dealer notified. Feel free to provide any further information.
Rusty transmission fluid level indicator/oil filler tube as per Chevrolet service bulletin id #594999. Chevrolet will not replace even tho' it is a latent defect. Why? transmission failure could occur at any time.
We've gone through 4 egr valves now. Every time we drive for extended highway miles, the valve sticks open causing the vehicle to run rough at low speeds. The vehicle, in a nearly stalled state, hesitates when I accelerate - making a merge into oncoming traffic very dangerous. Our vehicle hasn't stalled yet but that's because we avoid driving the vehicle whenever this happens. Tapping on the egr valve with a wrench unclogs the valve but it only sticks again the next time we go on the highway. We're afraid that vehicle may stall during an emergency breaking situation.

While driving oil cooling unit line failed and came apart which caused an oil leakage, resulting in engine locking up. Consumer has contacted dealer. The first oil leak was repaired and did not damage the engine. The incident occured again and all the engine oil leakes out causing engine failure.
3 of 4 freezer plugs on engine block failed and were found to be cracked. Engine must be removed from vehicle to replace all 4 plugs. Cost over $1,000.
While traveling on the street at 15-20 mph noticed smoke from exhaust and engine stalled out. Vehicle towed to an independent repair shop. It informed consumer that clamp around oil pressure hose came loose, and allowed loss of oil. Dealer was not contacted.
Engine freeze plugs rusted through, causing all coolent to empty out.I was told by mechanic that red type anti freeze put in new cars by GM caused plugs to fail.
Failed fuel pump replaced, fuel filter replaced, vehicle is still extremely difficult to start. Egr failed causing rough running and stalling. Spark plugs failed causing rough running and stalling. High pressure oil hose failed causing potential loss of engine oil. Left door remote lock failed causing door to remain locked when remote unlock is attempted. Crankshaft rear main seal was replaced under warranty but still leaks.
