This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Vehicle was traveling 25mph and without warning it shut down. Vehicle hit an electrical transormer and air bags failed to deploy from a direct frontal hit. Vehicle was totaled. Manufacturer was not notified.
While driving at state speed limit vehicle was stalling. Was capable of parking vehicle at home. Hours later, tried to start vehicle, and without warning vehicle did not start.
Egr valve replaced, oxygen sensor replaced, ignition coil replaced to no avail. On certain occasions engine check light comes on & there is a smell of gas. Truck acts like it will stall out.
Have had major engine problems since first year of ownership. Had to replace battery 3 times (first time within first year), have been stranded because of a "no-start" problem 6 times since purchase, dealer and two other mechanics cannot find cause, brakes have a very poor performance and must be replaced frequently, fuel pump replaced, ignition replaced, now the engine has "blown" all on a vehicle that has been properly maintained and not abused. This is the most unreliable, costly, stress-cuasing vehicle I have ever owned and I would like Chevrolet to take some responsibility for a very poorly built (lemon) car.
