: the contact stated the gas tank leaked slightly and smoked. There is a NHTSA recall, # 96V234000, regarding the tank assembly. The vehicle has the same problems as indicated in the recall; however it is not included in the recall due to the VIN. In addition, during a smoking episode the emergency brake was applied, but did not hold causing the vehicle to roll back into a tree. The vehicle was towed to an independent repair shop where it is awaiting repair.
When using the emergency brake, electrical windows did not work. Dealer contacted, and stated emergency brake was cutting the wires to the harness. Repairwork done at owners expense. Provide further information.
