While driving ABS light comes on. When the light comes on the brakes fade, causing extended stopping distance. Dealer has been contacted. Problem could not be duplicated.
Brakes failed 3 times without warning. The first time mechanic replaced master cylinder that he says was leaking. The next day brakes failed again & computer box next to master cylinder was replaced. Brakes worked for one month & without warning, went down to floor again. Computer has to be replaced again & we are in fear of driving it since there is no warning when brakes fail.
ABS system is working intermittently. When driving down a hill, the consumer applied the brakes, and the ABS system gave out. Brake pedal was hard, and the rear wheels locked up. Consumer had to keep pumping the brakes to bring the vehicle to a stop.
When braking the pedal goes to the floor, there is no control. This is the third time consumer has taken vehicle in for repairs. Dealership has replaced ABS motor twice, and now repairs are needed for third time.
Consumer is complaiing of four sets of brake pads had to be replaced within 58000 miles of wear, even though dealer replaced & repaired them without cost to the consumer because warranty still being ineffect. But this condition still needs to be investigated because it is not a normal condition. Dealer notified.
When she is driving about any mph and stepped on the brake pedal to stop vehicle, the brakes do not stop and make noise. Consumer replied that she had to replace the brakes shoes almost every month.
Consumer was driving approx 35-40 mph, went to hit brakes & received no response, no brakes action, no warning light, put brakes to floor, no response. In order to slow down and avoid an accident, had to pull emergency brake which caused the vehicle to do a 180 degree spin, the vehicle has no prior brake problem history. Weather was sunny/dry.
