2007 Chevy Aveo5 (hatchback) The car was parked outside. It was quite cold that night (in the 20's). After work I returned to my car only to find the windshield cracked. The crack started at the bottom, went up about 5 inches and across for over a foot, then returned to the bottom. There was no evidence of a chip or impact that may have caused the crack. I called the dealership but they reported no problems with the windshield on the Aveo.

Rear windshield shattered - top to bottom, left to right - all by itself, while sitting in my driveway. I was standing in the street talking to a neighbor when it happened, about 100 yards away.

The continued saga of the Aveo from hell. The car was parked in the garage. I get in the car to go to work and there's a hairline fracture in the windshield. There's no chip. I believe its a stress crack b/c it had been extremely humid & hot during the day and the temps dropped severely overnight. Dealer says its not a defect but i do know there was this exact same problem with the Malibu.

I have purchased 4 brand new chevy's in the past and this will be my last.
