The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Aveo. When the wipers were used during the winter ice/snow scratched the windshield. In addition, the contact felt that the tires were not adequate for the vehicle. They caused the vehicle to be too close to the ground. The tires provided very little traction during the winter. The tires are the original that was on the vehicle at the time of purchase. The tire brand name, line, size, and dot number were not available. The current mileage on the vehicle was 8,789 and failure mileage was 2,000. Updated 04/11/08 updated 04/11/08
A stress crack in my windshield. The crack starts under the rubber casing of the windshield. I awoke in the morning after an extremely humid night followed by a cold morning to find my windshield with a hairline crack. Dealer said this isn't a problem. I have researched the internet and found several complaints from the 04 through 07 model of the Aveo with the same problem. My glass tech said this the crack is very likely due to a structural defect.
The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Aveo. The contact stated that the reflection from the dashboard onto the windshield reduces his visibility while driving. The contact stated that the visibility is extremely impaired when driving in sunny conditions. This failure has occurred approximately one hundred times. The dealer has not inspected the vehicle. The current and failure mileages were 3,000. The consumer stated the problem has since been rectified. Updated 06/14/07.
