On 2/10/16 i had my car parked at home, i put the key in to start. I could not move the shift. So i turned the car off and the key would not release. I called tow truck, but his tow was to large to get up the driveway. He showed me how to override the gears to get the car to the dealer. This is a 2007 Aveo with only 57000 miles. I took the car to the dealer. They had absolutely no idea of how to get the key out. They gave me rental car and kept the car. I called later that day from work and was told an attendant pulled out the key it just started working on its own. go figure!. so needless to say they did nothing. I had no other problems with the car until today 3/3/16. The car was parked in the garage at work. I noticed that the clock had changed. My worst fear i knew immediately the problem was back. I missed my cousins birthday celebration over this. so I am back to the dealership tomorrow. I was planning to purchase a new car in the fall. But looks like it will be spring. I have had enough. This car has been at the dealership since 2/10/16 this will be the 4th time in less than a month. I just want to know whats wrong since i may have to tell them.
Update from Mar 14, 2016: ok, they found what the problem was, my under the hood fuse box a connector had melted and it was the cause of my front, light, horn dashboard panel and clock not working. Needless to say this cost me 639,76. I am not psychic but i see a new car in my future this spring.
