Nhtsa.Gov - Enter the appropriate information for the 2007 Aveo. Select POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION for the component tab. Click Retrieve TSBs. Click the green link that says Get Summary. Print out that information and bring it to your dealer. Don't let them tell you that nothing is wrong!
This is the second time that i had to tak my car to the dealership because my car was stuck in park. The first time was back in Oct.2009 & they replaced my shift gear then i had problems with it june.24.2010 & they replaced it but they next day the same problem happened so now i have to take my car back to the dealership.
The problem started almost immediatley - i associated it just not being familar with the car. I mentioned it to the dealer and they looked at me like i was crazy. But now that i see that other Aveo Victims (i feel victim is a better description than owners) have the same problem. It is a reoccurring problem that i cant get the car out of park but there is no set condition that i can figure that causes it. Its just random like the rest of the problems with this car. The only thing that is random is the dealer's response that there's nothing wrong.
