After I took my car into dealer for recall on DRL witch I didnt have any problems at all All the dash lights were out and the right front marker light and right back tail light wouldnt work, they work some times but most of the time they dont work, this only happend after car was in for recall, dealer must have screwed something up. Went back to dealer several times and they wouldnt fix and wanted to charge me 125.00 to check what the problem was.
my car has been under a recall for this problem. I took my car to the dealership today after setting an appointment 10 days ago under this recall notification. When i got there they told me they were going to charge me to diagnose the problem. But on top of that they told me that the G.M. Corporation doesn't know what to do to fix the issue. The man looked at a wiring harness that has been blackened by flame in the relay box under the hood and said that might be the problem but he's not sure.the recall is for"potential fire risk" due to faulty DRL modules.What are they trying to do, get their money back on one recall by charging for another? My taillight and parking light on the left side of the car have quit working since this problem started and he says there's nothing he can do right now unless I pay them and wait for my $$ back form Chevrolet then he proceeds to tell me it will be expensive to fix.. I don't think this the way to treat repeating customers. I doubt I'll ever buy another Chevy again.
Tail lights and break light keep going out, purchased bulbs to replace and housing that holds bulbs are plastic. When the mechanic attempted to replace bulbs the housing cracked up and fell apart. My son checked on line and said others have had the same complaints. The attendant @ the auto parts said they did not carry that part and I should check to see if there was a recall on that part, and that I needed to take it back to the dealer.
