The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Aveo. The contact stated that when attempting to accelerate from a stop, the engine rpms abnormally increased without warning. The vehicle was not taken to dealer for a diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000. The consumer stated the accelerator pedal became stuck. She tried to release it with her hand, but it didn't move. Updated 11/18/14
