switch between 4 and 8 cylinder constantly
Purchased this vehicle used from a dealer. I was unaware of the newly designed transmission (I owned a 2005 Lanche and loved it so moved up). This thing wants to drift back and forth between the 4 cylinder and 8 cylinder running condition. It does it at the most inopportune times .. at a stop sign or on-ramp to an interstate it will slide into 4 cylinder mode and no power .. when I try to accelerate I have to depress the accelerator hard to activate the 8 cylinder mode and then it takes off like a "rocket" (well, not quite but you get my drift). I am told that 2012 was banner year for this problem in all Chevrolet pickup trucks and the only fix is a reprogramming of the computer which GM will not do. Not a happy camper with this model Lanche. Is there a fix other than after market computer?
