When I purchased my used 07 Chevy Avalanche I noticed it was missing a front air dam piece under the bumper.I took it to my preffered body shop and for $125.00 they put a new piece on.Well, the next time I parked I dragged the thing over the concrete parking space bumper. Now I knew why the thing was ripped off. After doing some research I found that the low front end was common in the Suburban,Tahoe, and Avalanche. The fix for this is fairy simple and not to expensive. There are many after market kits available to fix this. The kit contains spacers that go between the strut and the top strut mount. The kits include hardware and instructions but unless you are a skilled mechanic,I would recomend taking it to a shop that specializes in suspension work. The kits range from $200.00 to $300.00 .Installation should be no more than $200.00.I no longer drag the front end around and the vehicle sits level.
