Received notification of the takata corporation air bag problem. Went to nearby GM dealer to address this problem. Service representative at serra Chevrolet stated that they did not have the necessary replacements and toke my information to contact when the parts become available. No notification has been received since the initial disclosure was made over 4 years ago. Did return to the dealership around six months after my initial visit and was told the same information that the required parts have not been received.
The dashboard is cracked around the passenger side airbag. This presents a hazard as shards of plastic could become projectiles if the airbag is deployed. Nothing happened to cause the cracked dash, it seems to be a normal problem with these vehicles and it's creating a hazard.
