The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche. The contact stated that once the key was inserted in the ignition switch, the vehicle made a grinding noise. The grinding noise continued once the contacts hand was removed away from the ignition key. The contact turned the vehicle off and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle resumed normal operations. The failure recurred several times. The manufacturer was not contacted. There was no diagnostic test completed on the vehicle. The failure mileage was 100,000 and the current mileage was 104,000.
