My 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche ltz has been in the shop 10X for grinding and squeaking noises coming from the right front wheel. The dealership stated they cannot duplicate this even though their service tech's heard it twice. The brakes have been replaced and the rotors re-surfaced, with the problem beginning @ 22,000 miles and continuing to this day at 44,000. The sound has been caught on video several times at different mileages but GM continues to state that it is not a concern to them. The sound begins slowly as the truck picks up speed it increases and then finally disappears at @ 35mph.
Own a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche 5.3L flex fuel V8 4X4. Recently when starting it, it turned over longer than normal, and then started with RPM gauge still at 0 RPM's. then put in reverse, and it said stabilitrack is off and needs servicing soon. Truck started moving backwards, and then seemed as if the brakes were applied, wheels simply would not move backwards. Tried to movie it back and forth several times. Thought brakes were applied or transfer case or axle or differential had issues. Then started it again 3 minutes later and everything worked fine and back to normal, except check engine light was on. An hour later, started it again and this time everything was back to normal. Called dealer and they stated they had seen this before, but it most likely won't be under warranty. Odd seeing as how a large number of other people with Tahoe/Suburban/Avalanche, and other vehicles expressed the same issue online and on forums...
