The steering on my avalanche was dangerous at best... I was traveling down a 2 lane highway and around a curve I smoked a semi truck in the ppposing lane....Long story short the steering wheel going down a straight road would have approx. 2 inches of play in between the direction my tires would grab and jerk the wheel unexpectedly in one direction, followed again by the play in the steering wheel until i was too far in the direction it was going i would pull the wheel back in the opposing direction and eventually the tires would grab the road and jerk my wheel back in the other direction violently. Oddly it was only really bad after sitting outside all night at work. In Iowa winter. Although it sits at home all day outside in the cold so it don't make much sense why the time would make a difference... Anyways i clipped a semi trailer in a curve going 50 MPH and ripped my entire front wheel off and all the suspension, steering parts off resulting in in excess of $5000.00 to fix. I Am extremely pissed off about it, could have died over a sh*tty steering set up that i shouldn't have to pay for
