Not only is the 2000 Astro Van reliable, but since they were built on a truck powertrain, they can tow 5,500/5,000 lbs (RWD/AWD) -- almost double what other minivans can.
The Chevy Astro is mechanically identical to the GMC Safari.
Driver window goes up then stops just a short way from down max.Passenger window works great. If you wait a while (5-10 min.) it will go up some, then stop. It's as though it gets over heated, cools. then works a little more. I've replaced window switch, checked and replaced fuses, relay, bought a motor and regulator from boneyard. No damn good !!
What the heck kind of mystery is put upon me? I'll never know. Can't go through drive thru, thruway toll booths, parking ramps, without opening the door. What a royal pain.
