CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2000 Chevy Astro Van has a solid reputation with very low complaint rates. The only problem now is finding one with low miles.
Not only is the 2000 Astro Van reliable, but since they were built on a truck powertrain, they can tow 5,500/5,000 lbs (RWD/AWD) -- almost double what other minivans can.
The Chevy Astro is mechanically identical to the GMC Safari.

These actuators fail to last & replacements are hit & miss! If you have to pay someone to replace them it gets expensive! The actuators themselves are $40.00 & up depending on the manufacture, also AC Delco units are not manufactured by General Motors.
Update from Oct 5, 2015: Had to replace the drivers door & passenger door actuators again at approximately 24,000 miles!
Update from Oct 5, 2015: 50,000 miles & here we go again! Getting ready to sell the van & the actuators are sticking again. I replaced the drivers door actuator with success but I'm on the third new replacement actuator on the passenger door with no success!
