While driving at highway speed, applied brakes and without warning heard noises. Driver states felt like something was dragging. Dealer has been notified; however, could not duplicate the problem. Consumer adds applying the brake pedal did disengage the cruise control, but did not slow the vehicle. Presently, the brakes appear to be working, but have not had to make anymore emergency stops at highway speed.

On 2 occasions, the throttle would race to high speed. At the same time the engine check light' would go on. The engine would run poorly or at very high RPM's. then the light would go out, and the engine would run normally. A check of the computer codes indicated there was temperature sensor problem. It was serviced, however it has reoccured.the driver kept the vehicle from going out of control by stepping on the brakes and turning the ignition off.

Driving with cruise control on at 65 mph, car veered to right shoulder suddenly, steering locked up, car jumped out of cruise control, leaped forward/ over median, rolled 5 times, side door came off, driver seriously injured, 2 passengers died. Consumer states cruise control appeared to have dropped out and then restarted.
