Every 16,000 miles ABS brakes would wear out. Also, brake lining on front right was replaced at least 3 different times. Rest of the brakes were not working properly. Was informed by mechanic all brakes worked normally. ABS brakes still not working & the regular service brakes have taken over. Will be taking vehicle back to dealership.
When applying the brakes vehicle slowed down, but did not stop. Also the vehicle has a squeaking noise when applying the brakes. Dealer has not seen vehicle.
While coming down the street the light changed to red annother driver in front stopped for the ligh. Consumer started to stop, and for 2 or 3 seconds the brakes stopped working. Heard a busy noise and then brakes started working again.

While driving had to stop suddenly. ABS brakes felt like there were engaging, but failed to engage. Had extended stopping distance. Nearly hit pedestrian. Been to mechanic off/on for brake problems. Cause not found. It took approx. 3.5 blocks after the emergency stopping incident, before the brakes were acting normally.
ABS brakes fail to stop vehicle right away when applied. Would kick in later. Had trouble since 1994. The last time ABS brakes were applied, they locked up & another vehicle was rearended. Air bag did not deploy. Taking vehicle to dealer, again, to check brakes out.
While driving stepped on the brake pedal to stop vehicle, but vehicle won't stop, specifically, if one of the tires got in contact with pavement, all the tires won't stop.
I was on 401-East in toronto. I took the islington rd exit and tge traffic was crawling at the best. We wre tarvelling at less tah 10mph and I was about 5ft behind the car in front. I wanted to slow down and used the brakes. The car stopped in a coulple of feet and then lurched/surged forward with my footstil on the brakes. This is the thrird time this happened. The other two times it was in lansing and it happened at much higher sppeds. I tokk it to the dealer and was told that this surging/lurching was normal for ABS brakes. I had the brakes checked again twoweeks ago while I was geting other work done and I was told they are good for another 10,000miles. Does NHTSA campaign id # 991006000 relate to this? acoording to a dealer in toronto this van is not included. I woluld like to get some info onwhom to aproach in the GM corporation regardingthis. Thank you for your asistance.
I have had several "close calls" with this van in reguard to the rear wheel anti-lock brakes. Two times I have actually been involved in accidents that have been caused by anti-lock brake failure. I have taken my van to the dealer I bought it from and the

My wife broke her right knee cap and cracked her brest bone. I saw the recall last night on tv. I saw that my old van is being recalledbecause of ABS problems. Please add this accident to your list.
