T/C light, ABS, and engine light on. When T/C and or ABS light on and I put in drive or reverse there is a loud very heavy clunking, it sounds and feels like the transmission is falling out. When I am stopped and I push the gas pedal there is the same loud, heavy clunking and it feels like the transmission is falling out. I gently push on the gas pedal to get going. When putting into drive or reverse I press the brake pedal hard and very gently change gears, it doesn't help but I don't know what else to do.
I am very fearful of getting into a car accident so I leave lots of space between vehicles and lots of space for stopping especially in the winter. I am fearful the brakes will not work. I have had everything checked, had the codes checked at different times and each time the codes are different.
I have had this car for about 3 years and have repaired so many things I have lost count. People tell me this car looks great and I tell them, never purchase a Chevy Cobalt! The color tells the story, lemon yellow.
