This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician the steps to diagnose and repair vehicles that may have an Object Detection System Message Diagnostic Trouble Codes U0075, U026A, U026B, U026C, U0265, U0268, and/or U0269 stored in the active safety module. Technician should inspect his Multiple Diagnostic Interface cable for damage. Technician should use the Multiple Diagnostic Interface on a like vehicle with object detection bus or theEL-47955-1 MDI 1, MDI 2 Self-Test Loopback Adapter,if there are no issues found finish with diagnosing the customer’s concern, if concern is present in the like vehicle replace the Multiple Diagnostic Interface cable.
